I make whimsical Art from recycled materials. Folk Art from around the world is an inspiration. I cut up and weld together colored industrial steel from old farm equipment. My materials have a story of what they once were like old tractors, harvesters or trucks. This year I have worked in series making: sheep, horses, flowers, hearts and dresses. Repeating the image to create a group. When I travel I fill notebooks with drawings and watercolors. I enjoy the contrast of working on paper and metal. Artists that I study are: Calder, Picasso, Matisse, Dine, Diebenkorn, Thiebaud.
I sell my work to stories and go to Art shows in the Northwest. I live and work in Tualatin, Oregon . I received a BA in art from UCSC .
