Teresa Ruch

Teresa has a passion for color and an obsession with fabric.  She expresses this in handwoven, hand-dyed clothing that flows with color and drape.  

 

Teresa has a background in the textile industry and is able to engineer the drape of cloth to get the effect she wants whether it is in plain weave or a 40-shaft twill.  

 

She has started to explore the upcycle trend by using Shibori over-dye techniques on leather from the apparel industry and pieced silk from Japanese fabrics.

 

She also offers a line of hand-dyed/painted fibers for use by knitters and weavers.  The current line consists of bamboo, Tencel, rayon, wool, and silk fiber and roving.
