Believing that art should reflect something important to the artist, Beth paints things that move her. Often, that means there’s an emotional connection with the subject matter, and it also means she paints in a way that makes her subject matter appear to be moving. This has become Beth’s signature style – that of emotion and movement.
A newspaper reporter covering one of her watercolor workshops wrote, “Watching Beth paint is like watching ballet. With effortless strokes honed by years of experience and heaps of talent, a scene appears on paper that evokes the emotion, colors, and atmosphere of the landscape.”
Her paintings have won numerous awards and top honors at the state, regional, national, and international levels. She holds Signature Memberships in Watercolor Society of Oregon, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies and Northwest Watercolor Society, and she is an associate member of National Watercolor Society.
