Bonnie Garlington

Weaver of Tartans, Tapestries & Uniquely Textured Textiles

I have been weaving a variety of textiles for 30 years.  My eclectic collection of scarves includes classic Scottish tartans, colorful casual styles, and richly patterned designs.  I weave mostly with silk, tencel, and chenille; and many of my scarves are accented with novelty yarns and ribbons.

In addition to scarves, I also weave small tapestries framed for the wall.  Inspiration for my abstract designs comes from sources as varied as a collection of cloisonné enamels, the play of color in an opal, the twinkle of lights across the bay at midnight, or my own personal response to significant natural and sociopolitical events.
