Garland: "Sole Sitting, Dipping"


Mixed media poetry garland with 7 original letterpresssed poems (including 4 with watercolor paintings). Leaf papers vary. Materials include: twig, mirrored string, ribbon, beads, crystal, found objects. Aprox.  Poems included are: "Go Placidly, yes, when you can, and know how to return to still pools within, or the ocean, or the mountain snow, its rarefied air, with each breath, stinging your lungs clean.";"Sit long into night,’til cloud cover clears and stars shower in light.";"..burnished by time, truth must be a smooth stone to glisten black on the surface of sand.";"If it rains, imagine shelter; enjoy sunlight streaming through fog...";"Only your soles know the deepening shape of your footprints...";"Recall that deer will emerge to drink from dripping leaves after rain.";"You are an oar dipping ripples on a blue bond."  Approx. 58"x10" depending upon how it is hung.  Individual leaves are approx. 5"x4".
